It’s been rough here the past twenty-four hours, time to feel good about ourselves again. Even though Portland came in at #5 on this list, and St. Paul beat Minneapolis (good for them), this is something we can feel proud about. But, as a lifelong “Minneapolitan”, having them mention the “City Center mall at it’s core” as some source of pride, does nothing for me.
Twin Cities Ranks High On “America’s 50 Best Cities” List
1. San Francisco 2. Seattle 3. Washington D.C. 4. Boston 5. Portland 6. Denver 7. New York 8. Austin 9. San Diego10. St. Paul St. Paul may be the smaller of the Twin Cities, but the state capital is also cleaner and safer, if slightly behind Minneapolis in median household income. St. Paul, which houses parts of the University of Minnesota campus, is known for its examples of Victorian architecture, such as the Alexander Ramsey House, and for its distinctive Cathedral of Saint Paul. 11. Pittsburgh12. Minneapolis Known as the City of Lakes, Minneapolis has some the nation’s best parks and bodies of water. Add in the cold, and you get the local University of Minnesota’s combined eleven ice hockey national championships. Downtown Minneapolis beats the cold with a unique network of connected buildings, with the City Center mall at its core.

Heck yes to moving to one of the top 15 of the top 50 Best Cities in America!

Would just like to say I currently live in #2 and my supposed top choice grad school is #1.
