Yes but mostly no. This is some of the biggest shit I’ve ever seen. If you seriously expect someone else to create your confidence/happiness for you, you are one seriously fucked up person. Things like that need to come from you, such that when this relationship doesn’t work out you can still stand on your own two feet.
Statements like this are a good chunk of the reason why women still aren’t respected. We demand to be treated as equals then pull this shit. You’d never see a guy begging for a partner to make them whole/feel pretty/smart/etc, because they are taught from a very young age to be more or less independent, self-respecting beings. We need to make that shift too, or we are ultimately doomed. I just don’t see how anyone who supports this line of thought can also think that they should be treated as equals, when they are clearly demanding much more than the opposite sex.

I would always rather someone complement me on my work ethic or ingenuity than my looks. This is ridiculous.
