What I expected. But actually it’s going really well for the most part.
When I look into my heart, I see trees… There are trees in our hearts… When we come to understand nature, we are touching the most deep, the most important parts of ourselves.
Nalini Nadkarni, an ecologist, who studies the rainforest canopy (especially in Monteverde, Costa Rica, where I was studying for 4 months!). The above quote and image come from her awesome TED Talk about conserving the canopy - a canopy I know and love from first-hand experience. It’s definitely worth your time.

God my school is gorgeous.We’ve had snow days the past two days, and my first class on Tuesdays was canceled. I don’t ever have class on friday so this week I will have effectively had 2 classes and 1 day of work [if I go in tomorrow]. Lol. Normally I’d be fine with this but my professors are dickwads and we have homework due today and Monday and two on Tuesday even though we haven’t learned a thing =/ womp womp college problems.
