This is a tattoo of a projector screen and a silhouette of my sister and I. She is holding a heart shaped balloon. I have an old film projector on the inside of my arm that is shooting this image onto the screen. It represents the memories we’ve had together and the love we share. I got the idea from a banksy picture I found. Jamie Lee Parker from MD tattoo studio in Reseda, CA took my idea and made it his own. I can’t thank him enough!

This is the tattoo my cousin just got in Auburn, Alabama. He has been through some really tough times and he said the music has gotten him through. I know it sounds cliche, but being a music major, I completely understand how he feels. Music is in our DNA. Our whole family stresses the importance of music in our lives, so I think this piece is perfect for him. He plans on majoring in business and music management when he goes to school next year. I am so proud of him for coming out of his dark times and realizing that life is too precious to waste. I love you, Ty.

This is my tattoo of my Lorax.  Done at Wild at Heart Tattoos in Brisbane, Australia.

Growing up as a gypsy for a majority of my life, I was always taught to understood the importance of the environment. One of the books I grew up reading (daily) was The Lorax by Dr Seuss. I learnt from that book, I should speak for the trees because the trees have no tongues. 

I have also struggled with depression for about five years, and one quote of that book has helped me push through:

UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not.

This is my beautiful Totoro group shot done on my upper right shoulder. It was done by the amazing Abel at Lucky 13 Tattoo in Richmond, VA. After four sessions it’s finally complete and there are really no words to describe how happy I am. Totoro has always been a huge part of my life and who I am and now I can see him every time I look over my shoulder. :3

This is my very first Tattoo, a gift from my father for my 21st birthday. They are Susuwatari (soot sprites) by Studio Ghibli. I’ a huge Studio Ghibli fan and this is the first of many Ghibli tattoos I have planned.
